Cary and I have been so blessed by friends and family who have come to visit us in Canada this season. Recently, my best friend Allie Christian came all the way from Texas to stay a week with us! It was so refreshing to get to spend time with her. While she was here we spent a lot of time catching up on the past six months! Allie got to attend her first CFL game and finally see Cary play football! The weather was beautiful, it truly was the perfect day for a game. I was so happy to get to introduce her to some of our Canadian friends and other Eskie wives! After the game we went to dinner with the Roughrider players (our good friends, Cary's former teammates and groomsmen in our wedding). It was really nice to see old friends! The next day, Cary took us on a tour of the Eskimo facilities. It was super fun to take pictures in the locker room and on the field with my best friend!!! We made a day of visiting West Edmonton Mall, the biggest mall in North America. Allie's trip to Edmonton wouldn't have been complete without experiencing that! We also spent time doing our favorite activity, arts and crafts! We carved pumpkins, made sharpie mugs, built a haunted gingerbread house, and made cool galaxy shirts! Allie ended up missing her flight back to Texas, (talk about a chaotic morning) and was able to spend an extra day with us. It ended up working out perfectly since I wasn't ready for her to leave anyway! ;)
